Our Roots
Byron & Byron began as a family practice. The Chambers first consisted of Cecil Oliver Byron who began practicing in 1955 and C. M. Dennis Byron, his nephew, who was called to the Bar of St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla in 1966. Together, they operated branches in all three islands of the then-Colony.
In the 1960s, Cecil Byron became the first Nevisian to act as Attorney General of the Colony of St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla. He also served as Warden (akin to Deputy Governor General) of the Island of Nevis. From 1980 to 1998, he served as Magistrate for the Island of Nevis. He then continued in active practice up to his passing in January 2006.
