Vincent F. Byron, Jr.

Vincent F. Byron Jr has worked in several groundbreaking cases which have had significant ramifications for good governance and constitutional rights in St. Kitts and Nevis. He served as Attorney General and Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs for St. Kitts and Nevis from 18th February 2015 to 5th August 2022. 

He attained the Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from the University of the West Indies, the Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the New York Institute of Technology, the Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Wolverhampton in the U.K., and the Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple and the Bar of St. Kitts and Nevis.

Vincent has been a well-known sports and music personality in St. Kitts and Nevis. He represented his country at the National level in both cricket and football between 1973 and 1982. He was voted the Sportsman of the Year while a student of the University of the West Indies at the Cave Hill Campus. He is a Founding Member of the St. Kitts Graduates Football Club of New York, and was honoured for his outstanding contributions to the Club and to football in St. Kitts & Nevis at the 8th Annual Gala and Awards Ceremony held in New York in 2012. He worked as a Bandleader of the Caribbean Heet Waves Musical Orchestra in St. Kitts, Nevis, Anguilla, St. Maarten, St. Eustatius and Montserrat from 1975 to 1982.

In addition, Vincent also worked in various roles in public administration including as National Instructor of the Health Management Information System and Deputy Census Officer for the 1991 Population and Housing Census.

In March 2010, Vincent Byron became a Member of the National Assembly of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis when he was appointed a Senator of Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition. The Hon. Vincent F. Byron was subsequently appointed by His Excellency the Governor General as a Member of the Constituency Boundaries Commission in 2012. In February 2015, Vincent was appointed the Attorney General and Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs of St. Kitts and Nevis. He served in that capacity until he rejoined Byron & Byron in August of 2022.

He is a Notary Public of St. Kitts and Nevis.
